whmrHere at Waxhole we post artist-submitted tracks daily. A crucial element in the selection process is the mastering quality of these songs. Because of this, we have teamed up with some excellent mixing/mastering professionals to offer their services to you in-house and at an honest price. Our mission has always been the growth of the artists and music that we love so much. Let us help you take your songs to a new level so they will better compete in today’s music industry.

Here are some examples of songs that have come out of our studio:

To help produce quality masters, please follow these few steps before you submit your tracks:

Mastering from a finished mix down:

• Ensure that the mix down is not clipping, and avoid using normalization, compressor, EQ, or limiter on the master bus (master fader).

Make sure the peaks are not louder then -6db.

• Set the dithering to “None”.

Submit a stereo track 44.1 or 48.0 kHz – 24 bit WAV files, If possible.

Include the following information with your submission:
• Artist Name
• Track Title

Mixing/Mastering from Isolated tracks (stems)

• Follow the same guidelines as above aside from creating a mixed down stereo track.

• Get the mix down of each song as close to how you want it to be as possible. Our goal for mixing is to preserve your desired sound while having the flexibility to isolate issues in order to provide a tighter sounding finished product.

• Create a stereo track 44.1 or 48.0 kHz – 24 bit WAV file for each channel in your DAW, place them in a folder named after the song title.
