Indie Groove With Skott, LUEM, and Ofelia K
A little coffee, a few Thursday morning meetings and I’m now ready to get my groove on. Good thing I have three wonderful artists lined up for this Indie Groove. First up is Skott, a new comer to the Waxhole blog. Skott’ just released her second single and both are fantastic in both the auditory and art direction. I can’t wait to see what else this emerging artist has in store. Next up is LUEM, I’ve been following her closely since her debut with “Wait”. This is now her third release and it is a cover of the familiar “Love Is A Battlefield”. This dark, haunting and melodic version of a timeless classic just adds to the legend of this song, really on point here. Last up we have the new singer I recently discovered through her work with a couple of Waxhole regulars, Ofelia K. Her new song “Killing Me” continues in the line of her releases to impress me. This possibly upbeat tune whose lyrical content deals with quirky and potentially emotionally painful subject matter manages to nail it in such an unusual way.
