Getting down with Brixton From Akiine

Neptune album art

‘Brixton’ is the second single off of Akiine’s forthcoming Neptune EP. It’s a darker, more delicate pathway for Akiine, where magic still surrounds the traveler but the threat of danger is more tangible than ever before. Angelic voices from every space support the electric keys and Akiine’s opening verse, that sounds like directions to a hidden treasure: “down by the river, down in the darkness, down with the beat, the vapor rises, hands in motion…” But the unifying element that ‘Brixton’ never quite escapes and always circulates around is the haunting chorus. Minimal and introspective ~

Akiine’s Neptune EP drops Oct. 30th via Brooklyn label Color Station.
