Afternoon 3Pack Featuring Atlas Bound, D.Know, & Oshan

10815878_10203880855475890_2008584468_nYou say you would lik another 3Pack from your friends at Waxhole?  Well sounds good to us because we have three tunes lined up just for you!  And all from the southern hemisphere at that.  Australia and South Africa represent with this 3 pack (where you at, Argentina!), and with different sounds and styles you aren’t going to get bored with this one.

First off is Atlas Bound (Soundcloud, Twitter) from the land down under, which has been producing some of the hottest talent this year. Chet Faker, Flume, Anna Lunoe, Emoh Instead, and now you can add Atlas Bound to the list. The relatively new duo latest original “Talk” is unique, soulful and enraptures emotions with every beat. Heartfelt vocals over a sexy, jazz-infused beat has got us absolutely hooked.

Out on Next Wave Records, the duo is the latest addition to the label’s all-star roster. With this being only their third release, we’re really excited to see what they do in the future.

Then there’s Oshan (Soundcloud, Facebook), an up and coming Australian, like Atlas Bound from Sydney, producer who deserves to be on your radar. His latest release, a funky, gliding edit on Hayden James’ record “Permission To Love” is the perfect introductory edit to listen to if you’re not yet acquainted with this rising star’s laid back sound.

Then we have the homey D.Know (Soundcloud, Twitter) out of Cape Town, and off of our good friends of the Do Work label. This thumping bumping tune harkens back to an earlier age of electronic music where the entrancing beat and minimalist sounds were the norm, and the purity of the tune and sound was there for all to see, not hiding behind air horns, trumped up vocals, or many production tricks. This is one of those tunes for the oldies to recognize and enjoy, and for the noobs to enjoy and understand how it was great to be an electronic music fan back in the day. At least that’s how the tune hits me. Get the limited time free download while you can before it is released on Do Work.
