Metallic Clouds Gets Ethereal

metallicMetallic Clouds released an EP recently and it’s as airy and pixellating cinematic that you can’t but help but enjoy as if you were reading the credits roll by after you’ve beaten a video game after months of play. It’s a great way to get introduced to the dude out of Colorado and part of the Midwest Collective, who has a dope roster of artists like BEEMO, Kyross, and Harris Cole, among other artists I’m excited to see producing more and more tunes.

This EP is one of those cohesive efforts that sounds as if it was one long mix that brings together doifferent tunes, but linking them all with similar synths, or arps gives you the sense that this work is just a continuation of either a dream, an inspiration, a general love for a found synth package or all of the above. It’s 13 and a half minutes of one vibe, and it’s awesome. It’s lifting you into the clouds, just as his name (and art btw) suggests. The first tune starts you out with that vibe and you never come down. Reminding me of the dream sequence from Raising Ariona, for some reason (I don’t know, maybe it was Utah), it sets the tone so so well.

So give Metallic Clouds (Soundcloud, Twitter) a follow, show him some love and by all means cop this EP forthwith!
