Time For A Voyage With 813

813 album It’s always a pleasant surprise to see quality bass music still being pressed to vinyl. 813 is a bass producer from Russia who brings forth a variety of eclectic and unique tunes regularly online through his soundcloud, as well as beats on a separate account here that you should certainly give a listen through as well.

His new EP, Espoir Voyage, which seems to roughly translate to “hope voyage” is quite a journey through the different soundscapes of bass music. It begins with a dreamy head bobber that turns into an r&b influenced bouncy booty shaker. The next tune is a downtempo purple groove with a fat low end.

After the first three songs, three guest remixers showcase their take on the originals. The first is a remix by Obey City, who adds a driving beat and sophisticated chops and cuts, taking Village into the club. The next is a jersey club take on the title tune, Espoir Voyage, made by another producer I’ve been digging on out of LA, LiL TExAS. DZA closes the EP out with a dark dubstep remix of the same tune, adding some heavy swing and some serious grime!

Check the whole EP out here and snag the exclusive red 12″ here. If you’re interested in buying the digital release, you can grab it on either itunes or juno. Show 813 some love and stay updated on his releases on twitter and facebook.
