They Killed The Ghosts In The M Machine

The M Machine The M Machine (Facebook, Soundcloud) is adding to the depth and quality of work from the dual EP’s Metroplolis I & II with a new remix album. “Metropolis Remixed” will be released on August 27 and M Machine has decided to make us drool in anticipation a bit more over this by releasing the Kill The Noise remix on their soundcloud.

There has been a great deal of history associated with works of art produced under the “Metropolis” title. Starting with the film that inspired the two M Machine EP’s. Fritz Lang directed the first full length science fiction film in 1927 called “Metropolis” The silent film was about a futuristic urban dystopia where the wealthy son of the city’s ruler descends to the underground to pursue a girl he falls in love with. The same film got a soundtrack treatment in the 80’s by Daft Punk collaborator Giorgio Moroder, with the help of stars such as Freddy Mercury and Pat Benatar. The M Machine’s story of the dystopian city of Metropolis is told through their two EP’s, and a text/illustrated version of the story is also available in the form of digital liner notes on the band’s website.

Now Kill The Noise (Facebook, Soundcloud) is joining in on this story telling venture by adding his own twisted and melodic visions in to this dystopian future. Along with other remixers such as Digitalism, Shinichi Osawa, Matt Lange, and Trifonic this release has me wishing for the future to hurry up and get here. Not the dystopian one, just the one filled with awesome remixes.

As a bonus enjoy The M Machines remix of “Middle Finger” by the Skrillex and Boyz Noise collaboration, Dogs Blood.
