Who Wants Some Trap?

Alright, you all, here comes some Trap comin’ at ya.  It’s just that so many have come our way and instead of holding onto them for their own feature and sometimes missing the chance to post them, I figure we just do it all in one whack.

But more importantly this post hopefully illuminates how diverse the genre is, and not just one of Baauer and RL Grime fame (which is great, don’t get me wrong).

These three tracks show how you can get glitchy, light-hearted, crunk and slowed with just the right treatment.

Resolutions by Mac Magnum

First we have some ‘Throwback trap’ courtesy of Mac Magnum. I do love the synths getting the mood set up with that 90’s feel, and the 808’s rolling in with their distinct sound. Good little light-hearted joint.

Dorrough – Ice Cream Paint Job (Austin Maddox Remix) FREE DL by AUSTIN MADDOX

Then we have Austin Maddox remixing Dorrough’s hit Ice Cream Paintjob. Bouncin with the straight up vibes of Dorrough’s original coupled with Maddox’s treatment it turns into a raucous, glitchy fun time.

Stubbs & F3 – No Rubber (UGK Bootleg) by STUBBS

Finally we have the Chopped and Screwed version of Trap, given to us by the man, STUBBS. This UGK anthem needs no set-up, but this treatment deserves a listen.
